Wlcome to CONVR 2021
Dear colleagues,
December is approaching quickly, and we are pleased that we are very close to run the 21st International Conference on Construction Applications of Virtual Reality (CONVR2021) as planned. As a response to COVID 19 pandemic, this year, the CONVR21 will also be held online. As a reminder, this year, the event will be organised at Teeside University, Middlesbrough, UK., 8 to 10 December 2021.
CONVR is one of the world-leading conferences in virtual reality, augmented reality and building information modelling. Each year, more than 100 participants from all around the globe meet to discuss and exchange the latest developments and applications of virtual technologies in the architectural, engineering, construction and operation industry (AECO). The conference is also known for having a unique blend of participants from both academia and industry. This year, we are carefully planning the conference to ensure that all participants have a perfect experience. We have a group of world-leading keynote speakers from industry and academia covering up to date hot topics and are enthusiastic and keen to share their knowledge with you.
CONVR participants are very loyal to the conference and have attended most editions over the last twenty editions. This year, we welcome numerous first-timers, and we aim to help them make the most of the conference by introducing them to other participants. Kindly note that the registration will remain open until the end of November.
Finally, our role on the committee is to bring and discuss the innovations, best practices, opportunities and challenges experienced by AECO practitioners to the fore, with the aim of ensuring all participants leave the conference feeling knowledgeable, inspired and full of new ideas and with many new friends! We look forward to seeing you in the UK in December 2021.
Yours faithfully,
Prof. Nashwan Dawood
Chair, CONVR2021
Dr Farzad Rahimian
Co-Chair, CONVR2021
